Summary
This prospective, randomized, blank-controlled study evaluated functional performance, subject-body perception, and safety following treatment with PlyoPulse™ electromuscular stimulation delivered through the Pure Impact™ VIP platform. Thirty-eight healthy adults were randomized equally to treatment or untreated control groups. Treated subjects received six weekly sessions targeting the abdomen, quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes. At week 5, the treatment group showed statistically significant improvement across all four objective functional tests, including hip extension, curl-up performance, quadriceps extension, and side-plank endurance. Most gains were sustained four weeks after the final treatment. Body-Q® scores also improved, and treatment was well tolerated with low discomfort and no adverse events reported.

Summary
This double-blind peer-reviewed clinical review examines the complementary roles of Sofwave and Pure Impact VIP in modern regenerative aesthetics, with particular attention to patients experiencing skin laxity, tissue deflation, and muscle depletion after ageing or significant GLP-1-associated weight loss. Sofwave uses Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam (SUPERB™) technology to create controlled thermal coagulation zones at approximately 1.5 mm in the mid-dermis, stimulating fibroblast activity, neocollagenesis and neoelastogenesis while preserving the epidermis, deeper fat and SMAS. Summary
This blinded, randomized split-body clinical trial directly compared high-intensity parallel ultrasound with microfocused ultrasound with visualization for upper inner-arm skin laxity and crepiness. Fourteen female subjects completed the study, receiving one modality on each arm so that every participant served as her own control. Investigator and subject assessments at days 30 and 90 showed improvement with both technologies, and the parallel-ultrasound treatment was found to be similarly effective for laxity and crepiness. Pain scores did not differ significantly between treatments. A practical difference was treatment duration: microfocused ultrasound with visualization required more time to perform. The study therefore suggests that high-intensity parallel ultrasound can provide comparable clinical improvement with high patient satisfaction while offering a faster treatment procedure.

Summary
This prospective, open-label multicenter study evaluated synchronous parallel ultrasound delivered with a new high-density handpiece for improving cellulite of the thighs and buttocks. Sixty subjects aged 23 to 65 received two treatment sessions, and outcomes were assessed up to three months after the second treatment. Blinded physician evaluations found improvement on the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale in 91% of treated areas. Cellulite Severity Scale scores improved by 69%, while laxity scores improved by 53%. Seventy-three percent of subjects reported satisfaction, and the mean discomfort score was 4.26. No serious adverse events were reported. The study indicates that the high-density handpiece can safely improve both the dimpled appearance of cellulite and associated skin laxity.

This prospective evaluator-blinded study examined a combination strategy using cross-linked hyaluronic acid filler VYC-12L followed by an energy-based device selected according to each patient's primary skin concerns. Eighteen Asian participants received full-face filler treatment, then one month later underwent an energy-based procedure that could include high-intensity, high-frequency parallel ultrasound, picosecond laser, or sequential radiofrequency. Patient-reported FACE-Q skin satisfaction scores improved significantly over time, and objective Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale assessments showed improvement in every participant. Three-dimensional and diagnostic skin imaging were also used to evaluate outcomes. No severe adverse events occurred; only minor transient reactions were observed. The study supports individualized combination therapy for improving multiple dimensions of facial skin quality rather than relying on a single modality.

This single-center retrospective study evaluated the safety, efficacy, and patient satisfaction associated with high-intensity ultrasound treatment for facial skin crepiness and laxity. Clinical records and standardized assessments were reviewed to determine both physician-observed improvement and the patients' own perception of treatment benefit. Most patients reported visible improvement after treatment, and physician evaluations similarly documented aesthetic gains in laxity and skin quality. Patient satisfaction was high, suggesting that the clinical changes were meaningful from the patient's perspective as well as observable by clinicians. Overall, the study adds real-world clinical evidence that high-intensity ultrasound can provide a noninvasive option for improving facial laxity and crepey skin with limited treatment-related morbidity.

This translational study investigated how synchronous parallel ultrasound affects the extracellular matrix over both short and long time periods. The researchers examined tissue responses in porcine models and in human skin biopsies, allowing them to evaluate structural changes rather than relying solely on visible aesthetic outcomes. Human biopsy findings extending to 10 months after treatment demonstrated sustained increases and reorganization of collagen and elastin fibers. The study also reported increased glycosaminoglycans, a finding consistent with ongoing fibroblast activity and extracellular matrix regeneration. Together, these results suggest that the biological response to parallel ultrasound continues well beyond the initial thermal effect and may support durable clinical improvement. This prospective multicenter study assessed high-intensity, high-frequency parallel ultrasound beams for treating crepiness and skin laxity of the upper arms. Forty-six subjects received two treatment sessions and were evaluated at follow-up using standardized photography and blinded aesthetic assessments. At three months, reviewers documented significant improvement in both crepiness and laxity, and 93.3% of evaluated photographs were rated as improved on the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale. The treatment targets dermal tissue with controlled ultrasound-generated thermal zones intended to stimulate collagen contraction and longer-term remodeling without surgery. No device-related adverse events were reported. The findings extend the clinical use of parallel ultrasound beyond the face and neck and support its potential for noninvasive treatment of difficult off-face laxity.

This prospective multicenter study investigated high-intensity, high-frequency parallel ultrasound beams as a treatment for facial acne scars. Subjects could receive up to three treatment sessions, and outcomes were evaluated through standardized photography and validated acne-scar severity assessments. Among participants completing at least two treatments, blinded reviewers classified 96.8% as responders. Mean acne-scar severity decreased by approximately 45.5%, indicating a substantial clinical improvement in scar appearance. Fourteen participants received treatment and were followed for up to eight months. This study introduced the Thermal Thread Technique, a vector-based approach using high-intensity, high-frequency parallel ultrasound beams to direct skin lifting along predetermined facial vectors. This prospective study assessed the efficacy and safety of high-intensity parallel-beam ultrasound delivered at a 1.5 mm depth for lower-face skin lifting. Thirty-six participants were evaluated using standardized digital photography and Antera 3D imaging at baseline and at one and three months after treatment. Statistically significant reductions in the mean depression volume of both nasolabial folds and marionette lines were observed at follow-up, with improvement already evident one month after treatment in more than 60% of participants. The technology is designed to stimulate neocollagenesis and neoelastinogenesis within the dermis. No adverse events were recorded. The device was clinically safe and effective for lower-face skin lifting and regeneration.

Efficacy and Safety of High-Intensity, High-Frequency, Parallel Ultrasound Beams for Fine Lines and Wrinkles

Summary
A prospective, multicenter clinical study evaluated a novel high-intensity, high-frequency parallel ultrasound device for improving fine lines and wrinkles of the face and neck after a single treatment. Sixty subjects were enrolled, and 58 completed the study. At the 12-week follow-up, blinded reviewers and investigators documented meaningful clinical improvement: 86% of subjects improved on the Fitzpatrick Wrinkle and Elastosis Scale, and 88% showed investigator-rated global improvement. Most subjects also reported visible improvement and satisfaction. The treatment creates controlled thermal injury in the dermis to stimulate collagen and elastin remodeling, while cooling protects the epidermis. No device-related adverse events were reported, supporting a favorable safety profile.
