After having met Mother Teresa decades ago, befriending her and ultimately caring for her later in life, Dr. Gargano was encouraged by her to become a surgeon to help people all over the world. He has dedicated his life to serving others and continually sharpening his skills and practice. Constantly embarking on charitable missions globally for organizations including Operation Smile, Dr. Gargano has always treated those less fortunate in need of critical surgeries. His goodwill extends to treating patients in dire financial circumstances or as a result of being turned away by other surgeons due to their complicated conditions.
